Six Steps to the World Stage

From registration to standing on the international stage, DLYCA has designed a clear, actionable pathway for every youth delegate.

1

Registration & Preliminary Selection

Follow official DLYCA announcements and submit your CV, cover letter, and climate action experience. Initial screening is based on language ability, professional background, and passion for public welfare.

2

Training & Skill Development

Selected candidates participate in DLYCA's comprehensive training program covering UNFCCC negotiation mechanisms, climate science, conference etiquette, and intensive English public speaking and writing.

3

Observer Accreditation Application

DLYCA submits observer registration applications to the UNFCCC Secretariat on behalf of delegates who have passed the training assessment, securing official conference badges.

4

Pre-Conference Preparation & Task Assignment

Develop a participation plan with clearly defined tasks for each delegate — side event speaking, session documentation, media reporting, and policy tracking.

5

On-Site Participation & Real-World Practice

Throughout COP/SB meetings, delegates engage in negotiation observation, side event organization, and networking — growing through authentic international diplomatic experience.

6
